New members are recommended by existing members. New members cannot be the same vocation/business as an existing member without prior approval. New members must be friendly and cooperative for service to the community.  All recommendations are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors.

Other considerations:
Applicant may attend two regular club meetings before the entrance fee is due.

Entrance fee

When entrance is approved, the entrance fee of 100,000 yen is necessary. There is no refund of entrance fee upon member's resignation.

Dues

The annual dues is 200,000 yen plus 30,000 yen for trip fund.

Meeting day

Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 12 o'clock noon with lunch and on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 PM with dinner. A board of director's meeting is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM.

Duty

To remain a member in good standing, a member should attend the regular meetings.  If a member is unable to attend one of our regular meetings, makeup can be accomplished by attending a regular meetings of another Lions Club.  Recognized excused absences include sickness or overseas business trip.

Dress

Business attire for regular meetings with a neck tie except in the summer.  Jumper or working clothes are not considered appropriate.
